Flying Squirrels
Flying Squirrel Description- These nocturnal animals are identified by their grayish colored coats and large black beady eyes. When shined with a flashlight their eyes glow similar to a cat or other nocturnal animal due to the reflective lens in their eyes. Reports of these animals in attics are categorized by night time pitter-patter, scratching, and sounds of something being rolled around. These sounds come from their high energy nature and the rolling sounds come from them playing and moving acorns throughout your attic. Once a family of flying squirrels moves in your attic you are almost sure to hear them romping around through the night hours. They will come and go throughout the night to meet their nutritional needs and sleep during the day.
